2020 Farm Market Updates

You can like us on Facebook (Soren's Valhalla Orchards/ Sorenson's Strawberries) for updates.

Apples: The Apple blossoms are just starting to open! They are our favorite fruit blossoms because of their beautiful pink colors! We look forward to Apple harvest starting in September!

Strawberries: The cool spring temps have our strawberry field a little behind schedule again. We look forward to harvesting strawberries with you around the last week of June if we can get some heat near the lake. Our pick your own patch is located just west of the home farm on the same side of County J as the strawberry stand. We will have signage out when we open and have some guidance for social distancing for all of our happy pickers!

Cherries: Both sweet and Tart cherries are in full bloom ( May 26th) and it looks like a be despite some frigid temps a few weeks ago. We will continue to monitor the fruit set and heat units and keep you informed about our upcoming picking season. We anticipate this will begin mid July and we look forward to another great year of pick your own cherries. We also love sharing our commercial harvest process with those who visit the orchard during tart cherry harvest. We will also have additional measures in place to aide with safety and social distancing.

we look forward to a great fruit harvest with you!!!🍓🍒🍎🍏🍓🍒🍎🍏🍓🍒🍎🍏🍓🍒🍎🍏🍓🍒🍎

Family-Owned and Operated

Farming is in our blood - Terry from Norwegian and Belgians who settled in Door County and Toni from a long line of Marathon County farmers.   Terry and Toni graduated from UW-River Falls College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences.  They are both actively involved in promoting Door County agriculture and farm products.     It is important for them to honor the heritage of their ancestors while also integrating the latest in science and technology. They are exited by the opportunity to raise their kids with this focus in mind.

***We want to be your farmers so please ask us about the food you love to eat and we love to grow!
